Twitter Reacts: Real Madrid secure La Undecima
Real Madrid beat Atletico Madrid 5-3 on penalties to seal La Undecima in Milan after the two played out a 1-1 draw over 120 minutes.
It was a game of two halves at the San Siro, with Real dominating the first and Atleti having control of the game in the second. Both sides had chances to win the game – Griezmann missed a penalty in the second half for Atleti, while Ronaldo had a glorious chance from a header.
Once again, it was Real’s day against their local rivals in Europe. They’ve now beaten or knocked Atleti out of the Champions League in each of the last three seasons.
