Kante offered to Real Madrid
French International N’Golo Kante’s impressive performances at Premier League winners Leicester City last season have attracted interest from Champions League holders Real Madrid.
In some circles, the defensive midfielder was unlucky to miss out on the Player of the Year in the Premier League, and is seen as the ideal player to compliment Los Blancos’ attacking formation. His performances have been so good that he has become irreplaceable in Didier Deschamps’ midfield at Euro 2016, and is key to Les Blues’ challenge to become European Champions this summer.
Zidane has already to compared Kante to another defensive midfielder and cult hero at the Bernabeu, Claude Makelele, saying:
I see Makélélé mirrored in Kanté when he plays.
AS are reporting that Kante has a minimum buyout fee of just €25.5million, which is well within the summer budget offered to Zizou and substantially cheaper than many other potential targets in the same position. If Los Blancos were successful in their pursuit, financially, it would not prevent Real going after main target, Kante’s international teammate Paul Pogba.
