As the hunt for a desperately needed right back at the Camp Nou continues, it seems as if a deal for Valencia defender Joao Cancelo might already have begun, according to Sport.
Both clubs should not have too much difficulty at the negotiating table seeing as they have completed the deals of Munir, Paco Alcacer and Andre Gomes in recent history.
It is also rumoured that ex-Sevilla man Aleix Vidal could be used as a make weight in the deal and Valencia will be demanding a lot more than the £13million they paid. A deal could be forced through as early as January as Luis Enrique struggles to rely on a back up to Sergi Roberto.
The Portuguese right back’s representative, super agent Jorge Mendes, has already met with Barcelona to get the ball rolling.
Some of the 22 year olds strengths that could see him flourish with the Blaugrana would be his tremendous energy, along with his comfort on the ball. Cancelo has even been known to take set pieces for Los Che because of his technical ability.
