The club captain joined Barcelona at the age of 12, way back in 1996 and has gone on to make 639 appearances, the second-highest of any player in the club’s history.
In a time of change at the club, Iniesta is symbolic of the ‘La Masia’ system at Barcelona.
Iniesta is due to address the media alongside President Josep Maria Bartomeu after officially putting pen to paper on a new deal at the Camp Nou.
During his time at the club, the midfielder has won everything there is to win, including eight La Liga titles and four Champions League trophies.
